At this property west of Calgary in Links Ridge, we built the client a large composite deck, complete with a gas fireplace and outdoor kitchen bridged between with a privacy wall. The deck also has ample space for the outdoor dining experience and lounging. Its proximity directly off the indoor kitchen and the adjoining spa makes this the heart of a spectacular outdoor living space for all seasons.

Features of these structures are often a low maintenance exterior, such as cultured stone, brick or natural stone, and a solid surface such as granite for the countertops. Amenities in the kitchens range from the grill, which is the heart of the operation, to side burners, cabinets and drawer units, refrigerators, recycling receptacles and sinks. Pretty much the sky’s the limit when it comes to outdoor kitchen features whatever your heart desires.

At this property, we designed a courtyard effect into the existing backyard, utilizing again the three elements of the fireplace lounging area, outdoor kitchen and dining area. This space conserve as a place for a family meal or intimate setting for a couple to relax at the end of a long day or on the weekends comfortably host a larger gathering for a party. The scale and design of these outdoor living spaces is dictated by space available, intended use, budget and the individual needs and desires of the client. Each one is unique and special.
